Sri.Veerabhadra Charitable Trust is nonprofit, non-political and development organization. It has been working with multi sectoral communities without distinction of caste, creed and community in Dharwad, Bijapur, Bagalakote, Belgum, Gadag, and Haveri Districts of Karnataka since its inception of 2009. It has been working for development of the most marginalized and vulnerable sections of the society. The basic objective of Sri.Veerabhadra Charitable Trust is to introduce experiments and innovations in development, economic and employment activities of sustainable development modules in agriculture, environment and ecology, education, women empowerment, childcare. The basic approach is to implement development programmes based on the felt needs of the people with an effort to mobilize people’s participation for individuals and community development. Over the past 9 years Sri.Veerabhadra Charitable Trust worked to identify the needs and meet the aspiration of the rural poor and weaker sections through participatory approaches. OUR FOUNDATION Awareness raising, community health care, child labour elimination, Caring of aged people and rehabilitation, environment protection, HIV/AIDS awareness, income generation activities, joint forest planning and management, natural resource management, poverty alleviation, sustainable agriculture development, watershed development, women and child development programmes, promotion of local groups and involvement of the groups in development activities are the major thirst areas of the organization activities. LEGAL STATUS Sri.Veerabhadra Charitable Trust is registered Trust under Indian Trust Act. Its registration No is HBL-4-00243/2009-10 dated 16-10-2009. Our organization has been obtained the 12.AA. And 80 G for tax exemption under Income Tax Act 1961. VISION To find out an alternative strategy of rural & urban social intervention and facilitate the NGO movement in the state OUR GOAL Establishment of an equitable social order through motivation, facilitation and self activity. Old Age Home, Village/City DevelopmentDAY CARE CENTRE PROGRAMME FOR SENIOR CITIZENSDuring reporting period trust had been running day care centre with support of Department of Empowerment of differently able & senior citizen , Government of Karnataka. In this programme totally 189 senior citizens were enrolled and 50 aged people were getting medical treatment, food, and recreational services. Once in a year outing will be organized in order to promote their social and mental support. |
